What is the single biggest challenge facing the school district and how will you achieve a solution? Funding formula; Trustees has to make difficult choices in setting their priorities. In the context of limited resources, as trustees, we have to be prudent and fiscally responsible to ensure that every tax dollar is spent wisely for every student in the School District.
What are your thoughts on the province’s new curriculum? I think the new curriculum has flexibility, practicality and creativity in terms of student ways of learning and how teachers teach their student.
Why do we need a school board when so much is dictated by the province? Trustees are the critical link between the communities and the board. They are responsible in ensuring that quality of education is provided to all students.
