North Vancouver police seek witnesses after pedestrian struck

North Vancouver RCMP are looking for anyone who may have witnessed an accident in which a pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Main Street and Mountain Highway, early on Oct. 31. The accident happened at around 5:15 a.m.

North Vancouver RCMP are looking for anyone who may have witnessed an accident in which a pedestrian was struck near the intersection of Main Street and Mountain Highway, early on Oct. 31.

The accident happened at around 5:15 a.m., when a man was hit by a vehicle heading east. Speed and alcohol were not factors, and the driver remained at the scene, according to police.

The North Vancouver RCMP’s traffic unit is looking for additional witnesses and are hoping someone may have dash-cam video footage of the accident, said spokesman Sgt. Peter DeVries.
