North Shore and Bowen Island residents making little progress on their summer reading list have run out of excuses.

All four municipal libraries will resume some regular book borrowing and in-person services starting on July 7 – with new COVID-19 protocols in place.

Patrons will be expected to follow the posted guidelines including maintaining physical distance, frequently washing or sanitizing hands and staying home if they have any symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19.

Each library’s website has a detailed list of which services are being offered.

The West Vancouver Memorial Library will be open for browsing and computer terminal bookings Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The North Vancouver District Public Library’s three branches will be open for self-service holds pick-ups during the following hours:

Tuesdays: 1 p.m.-6 p.m.

Wednesdays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Thursdays: 2 p.m.-7 p.m.

Fridays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Saturdays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

The North Vancouver City Library will be open during the following hours:

Monday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tuesday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Wednesday: 1 p.m.-8 p.m.

Thursday: 1 p.m.-8 p.m.

Friday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday: Closed 

The first hour of each day will be dedicated for seniors, first responders, healthcare workers and other self-identified vulnerable and immunocompromised customers.
