Anyone who has an opinion on the Delbrook lands – or an interest in hearing everyone else’s opinions – is invited to an open house Tuesday in the Delbrook rec centre on Queens Road.

The session is intended to review and discuss new options for the land formerly occupied by the rec centre at Queens Road and Stanley Avenue.

Assisted by the SFU Centre for Dialogue, the district began a $137,000-consultation project in the fall of 2015, soliciting ideas for the land from residents across the district. But, after nixing a proposed development judged as out of character with the neighbourhood, a majority of council opted to begin a fresh round of consultation with nearby residents. The current round of consultation is expected to cost approximatley $15,000.

The open house is slated to run from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Arbutus Room.

If you’re not able to make it to the meeting you can submit your thoughts in an online survey beginning June 18.
