North Van's Hannah Miller plays for Canada at Nations Cup

North Vancouver’s Hannah Miller suited up for Hockey Canada’s national women’s development team at the 2018 Nations Cup tournament running Jan. 3-6 in Fussen, Germany.

Canada lost 3-2 to Finland and 2-1 to Russia before bouncing back to beat Germany 5-1 to finish fifth in the six-team tournament. Miller picked up two assists in the tournament.

Miller has a history with the national program, helping Team Canada earn back-to-back gold medals at the IIHF World Women’s U18 Championships in 2013 and 2014. She is currently a senior on the Saint Lawrence University women’s hockey team where she’s notched 22 points in 19 games this season. Last season she was named second-team all-conference for the NCAA Div. 1 Eastern College Athletic Conference.
