Lifelong family friends Alannah Yip and Sean McColl made history this summer as the first two Canadians ever to compete in sport climbing in the Olympic Games. They'll take part in a MONOVA speakers event Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021.

A pair of history-making North Vancouver Olympians will share secrets about how they climbed to the top of their sport during an online chat hosted by MONOVA: Museum of North Vancouver on Thursday (Oct. 28).

This summer Sean McColl and Alannah Yip became the first two Canadians ever to compete in sport climbing in the Olympic Games as the event made its Olympic debut in Tokyo.

The powerful athletes are not only two of the best competitive climbers in the world, they are also lifelong friends who honed their skills here in North Vancouver and in the impressive wilderness that surrounds the North Shore.
