The Collingwood Cavaliers senior boys rugby team will play for gold in the AA provincial championships Saturday at Abbotsford’s Rotary Stadium. The top-ranked Cavaliers will face No. 2 Brentwood in the final kicking off at 1 p.m.
Collingwood opened the tournament with a 55-25 win over Clarence Fulton before topping G.W. Graham 50-5 in the semifinals. The two finalists have a long history between them -- Brentwood defeated Collingwood in last year’s provincial semifinals.
Two other North Shore teams will be fighting for podium spot at provincials. The Carson Graham Eagles will face St. Georges for bronze in the elite AAAA division. Kickoff is Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Abbotsford.
West Van will also play for bronze, taking on Earl Marriott in the AAA Tier 1 consolation final Saturday at 1 p.m. in Abbotsford.
