The North Shore Twins franchise once again showed that it has top to bottom power, winning three different age groups at a prestigious baseball tournament held in Seattle last weekend.
The Twins seniors, juniors and bantams – the club’s only three teams – won the 18U, 16U and 14U divisions, respectively, at the five-day Art Wright Memorial Day Tournament hosted by Seattle Elite Baseball. The three Twins teams racked up a combined total of 20 wins against just one loss, outscoring their opponents 161-73 over the course of the tournament.
The Art Wright Memorial Tournament has been running for 19 years and is one of the preeminent tournaments in the Pacific Northwest, featuring nearly 300 teams.
This was the second time in as many years that the Twins pulled off an impressive triple play. Last season all three Twins teams won league championship titles in the B.C. Premier Baseball League. It was the first time in league history that one club won all three titles.
