West Vancouver voters are casting ballots today to elect a new member of municipal council.

Twelve candidates have been nominated, all of whom have been profiled by the North Shore News. See our candidate bios here.

Just under 1,000 residents voted in advanced voting. The byelection results are expected between 8:30 and 9 p.m., according to the municipality. The North Shore News will post the results when they become available.

Council called the byelection in September after the death of former Coun. Michael Lewis in August.

Ballots can be cast until 8 p.m. at:

  • Hollyburn Elementary School (1329 Duchess Avenue)
  • Irwin Park School (2455 Haywood Avenue)
  • Rockridge Secondary School (5350 Headland Drive)
  • Westcot Elementary School (760 Westcot Road)
  • Gleneagles Community Center (6262 Marine Drive)
  • Seniors’ Activity Centre (695 21st Street)
