More than one hundred students from the North Shore and Sea to Sky corridor made the trek to the top of Grouse Mountain Friday for a youth mental health summit.
The youth-led and youth-driven Talk at the Top, hosted by Jack.org, focused on mental health leadership and advocacy for high school students, who learned how to help decrease the stigma that surrounds mental illness in their schools and communities.
The full-day event took place inside the Grouse chalet and featured guest speakers, workshops, activities and brainstorming sessions.
Founded by the parents of Jack Windeler, who died by suicide in 2010, Jack.org is a Canadian charity which trains and empowers a network of 2,800 young leaders from coast to coast who advocate to ensure that every young person in Canada is comfortable asking for and getting the help they need.
