Vancouver's weather to stay sunny, warm all week

Mid-September looks to stay sunny.

Even as autumn approaches, Vancouver is going to see highs peaking in the 20s this week.

Stable, sunny weather will continue through the week according to Environment Canada, though overnight lows will be getting cooler.

Monday, Sept. 19, is expected to hit a high of 20 C in the afternoon near the water, with highs closer to 25 C the further inland you are. It may not feel like it though, with a 20 km/h breeze coming through in the early afternoon, near the hottest point of the day. Overnight the skies will stay clear and the temperature will drop to 12 C.

Tuesday and Wednesday things may even be a bit warmer with highs of 21 C forecast (26 C inland). Overnight lows will drop a bit more though, to around 10 C.

Thursday, Sept. 22 (aka the fall equinox, aka the first day of autumn), will see a slight drop in the highs, with 19 C expected. In the evening clouds are expected to roll in a bit with a 30 per cent chance of showers overnight and a low of 11 C.

Those clouds will be sticking around Friday, and even though a high of 18 C is expected there will be some clouds and a 30 per cent chance of showers. In the evening a low of 11 C is expected again.

Going into the weekend the clouds are expected to stick around, though the showers may leave. A high of 18 C is expected on Saturday.
