As per Vancouver snowstorm tradition, locals are having a bit of a tough time dealing with the latest road conditions.
As forecasted by Environment Canada in a recent snowfall warning, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley saw a dump of 5-10 cm fall overnight and into the early morning of Dec. 30. Over 15 cm of snow has been reported in some areas. The federal forecaster predicts the snow will be tapering off this morning after an additional 2 to 4 cm has fallen.
Due to the snow and icy conditions, garbage collection will be temporarily suspended for Dec. 30 and 31 as sanitation crews are helping with snow clearing the City of Vancouver recently shared on Twitter.
In the meantime though, many locals have taken to social media to share how the snow has impacted roadways and those who drive them.
