The source of a possible gas leak in Maplewood Wednesday remains a mystery. Residents reported the smell coming from the business park at 2222-2270 Dollarton Hwy. around 11:30 p.m. A FortisBC technician, along with District of North Vancouver firefighters, attended but did not detect natural gas in the air. All nearby natural gas HVAC units were inspected and found to be working properly.
Residents were right to report the smell, a company spokeswoman said. Anyone who smells gas should immediately get to safety and call 1-800-663-9911.
