I think Pink Shirt Day is about spreading awareness of how bullying can affect people who are exposed to it and to show how many people care about putting a stop to bullying by wearing a pink shirt on Pink Shirt Day.
I think bullies are just kids who don't know how to express their feelings and that makes them mad so they think that making other people feel bad would make them feel better.
As for bullying itself, I think bullying is when someone repeatedly hurts another person emotionally or physically because they have no other way to express how they are feeling.
I think that it's important to study the message that bullying is not all right because it gives you a clue to how other kids might be feeling or how they would feel by being bullied.
I personally wear a pink shirt on Pink Shirt Day to show others that I stand up to bullying and encourage others to stand up against bullying too.

Like many students on the North Shore, students at Norgate elementary have been participating in many activities related to Pink Shirt Day, including decorating pink shirts, exploring ideas through stories and discussions, and learning a "flash-mob" dance. Even their pre-schoolers are participating.
