Soprovich tops polls in West Vancouver

BILL Soprovich once again topped the council polls in the District of West Vancouver Saturday night, with 4,543 votes in the unofficial tally.

Other councillors under mayor-elect Michael Smith will be:

Mary-Ann Booth with 4,247 votes;

Craig Cameron with 4,206 votes;

Nora Gambioli with 4,148 votes;

Trish Panz with 3,922 votes;

Michael Lewis with 3,786 votes.

Incumbent Michael Evison failed to retain his seat, polling 3,480 votes.

Carolyn Broady topped the polls for school trustee in the unofficial results with 4,383 votes.

Other unofficial results were:

Cindy Dekker, 4204 votes;

Dave Stevenson, 4,127 votes;

Jane Kellett, 3,927 votes;

Reema Farris, 3,283 votes.

Christine Banham failed to win a spot on the West Vancouver Board of Education, polling 2,513 votes
