The Lynn Valley Services Society held the official launch of the Mollie Nye House Connected Seniors Computer Centre on the afternoon of April 16 with dozens of guests, volunteers and entertainers on hand. The centre was opened to assist local seniors in accessing computer technology, including iPad classes and other one-on-one training. The centre was opened with the support of the District of North Vancouver, District of North Vancouver Library, North Vancouver Recreation Commission and the federal government's New Horizons for Seniors Program. Youth volunteers helped at the launch event, live music was provided by participants in Mollie Nye's Acoustic Jam program, and pizza, cake and other refreshments were available.
