Representatives of the Save Your Skin Foundation hosted their annual melanoma fundraiser May 10 at the Lynn Valley Legion. One of the non-profit foundation's largest fundraisers of the year, the event, entitled Hot Lucy - Stage 4 - Blues Night, was intended to raise money for melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancer research, support and education. The event featured a performance by local band Hot Lucy, a silent auction, 50/50 draw and toonie toss. The event was held in May, timed with Melanoma Awareness Month. saveyourskin.ca
