RELIEF from the clutter of old car seats will be available this weekend at the Bellies to Babies Celebration trade show where usedvancouver. com will be on hand to accept expired seats free of charge.

The seat drop-off will be available on Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver.

Car seats are one of the most important investments parents make but it can be difficult to find a recycling centre that accepts car seats once they've reached their expiration date. UsedVancouver. com will ensure all dropped off car seats are delivered to an appropriate recycling centre. The focus of this initiative is to bring awareness and keep car seats out of the landfill.

"We think partnering with Bellies to Babies is a perfect fit since UsedEverywhere.com and it's network of classifieds sites is dedicated to reducing landfill waste," UsedVancouver.com social media producer Suzanne Bertani said in a recent release. "Car seats contain flame retardant chemicals so we are pleased to be working with Gibsons Recycling Depot who will be deconstructing the car seats on our behalf and recycling the metal and plastic."

The Bellies to Babies Celebration trade show is an event that offers new and expectant parents a large venue to shop, learn, and seek community resources.
