Police have put out a plea for tips four days after a North Vancouver man went missing from his Lynn Valley home.

Jim Parent, 54, was last seen at his residence in the 4000-block of Lynn Valley Road Sunday. Family and friends have not heard from him since, and he hasnt touched his bank accounts, leading investigators to fear for his safety. Parent gave no indication as to where he might have been heading.

Its very unusual behaviour for him, said Cpl. Richard De Jong, a spokesman for the North Vancouver RCMP.

After four days with no leads, the force issued a release Thursday asking the public for help.

Parent is six feet two inches tall, 209 pounds with greying hair and blue eyes. Its unknown what he was wearing when he left his house. Police say he was prone to depression.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the North Vancouver RCMP at 604-985-1311.
