WEST Vancouver Police have nabbed a suspected thief after a homeowner looked out of his window and noticed a man rifling through the car parked in his driveway.
The resident was at home in the 1000-block of Eyremont Drive July 23 when he saw the alleged crime taking place. He went outside to confront the man, and the suspect took off, dropping CDs as he ran, according to police.
Officers arrested a man matching the description a short time later.
Police said items were also stolen from another vehicle in the area, prompting them to ask anyone who lives in the Eyremont neighbourhood whose vehicle may have been targeted to contact them.
Murray Gordon Peters has been charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
