PINK Shirt day is all about anti-bullying and including everyone

Pink Shirt Day is against all types of bullying, such as cyber bullying, verbal bullying, physical bullying and emotional bullying. Bullying can be many things but usually it's racism, making fun of another's religion or even physical.

Bullying can be many things but usually it's racism, making fun of another's religion or even physical. Bullies tend to have been bullied before in life or may have problems at home.

I learned about Pink Shirt Day a while ago and thought it was cool to stand up to bullies even though I've never had problems with them. I think it's important to learn about anti-bullying so kids know not to bully other kids.

I learned that we wear pink shirts on Pink Shirt Day because a boy from Nova Scotia was bullied for wearing one. The next day two older boys came to school wearing pink shirts in support. The bullying stopped. I personally am a forgetful person and tend to forget Pink Shirt Day but I'm glad this year our school is making sure we all get to wear one. I also like the colour pink.
