A pedestrian has been hospitalized after being struck by a sprinter van driver Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 4 p.m., a woman in her 30s got off the bus and attempted to cross Montroyal Boulevard at Skyline Drive in North Vancouver, according to North Vancouver RCMP.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was struck by the driver of a sprinter van. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, said Cpl. Mansoor Sahak, spokesperson for North Van RCMP.
The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
The sprinter van driver remained on scene and co-operated with police. At this stage in the investigation, police do not suspect negligence on the part of the driver, Sahak said.
Speed and alcohol were not factors in the incident, he added.
