A young driver smashed his SUV through the front window of a pharmacy in the Village at Park Royal Monday night after accidentally hitting the gas pedal instead of the brake.
West Vancouver police were called after a 2011 Suzuki SX4 SUV crashed through the entrance of a pharmacy on Main Street at about 10 minutes after 9 p.m.
Fortunately the crash happened after the store was closed, said Const. Jeff Palmer, spokesman for the West Vancouver Police Department. Neither the 19-year-old man who was driving, or his passenger, was injured.
The driver was issued an $81 Motor Vehicle Act ticket for “Drive Over Sidewalk.”
