HOUSING INFORMATION VOLUNTEER

This position compiles a weekly list of available low-cost shared and individual housing on the North Shore. This list is used by other social services agencies, individuals and families to find appropriate and affordable housing.

SKI AND SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTOR

Volunteer instructors receive their CADS Level 1 certification during training over one weekend in January and mentor with experienced instructors. If you wish to work with students in the stand-up ski or snowboard program, you should be a competent skier on blue runs. You need to be strong enough on the slopes so that you do not fall and are able to ensure that your student is supported physically, if needed.

KITTY ADOPTION CENTRE WORKER

An adoption care centre is looking for volunteers to help with feeding, cleaning and grooming with cats and kittens.

If you are interested in these or other possible volunteer opportunities, call 604-985-7138. The society is a partner agency of the United Way.
