Board Member: The board of directors of North Shore Community Resources Society, a local non-profit multi-service agency serving infants through seniors, has openings for a treasurer and members-at-large. Meeting six times yearly, it is a policy board with 15 members who are encouraged to share their expertise through committee work.

Committee Members: Committee members are needed to be part of a team that is responsible for planning and staging the Investors Group Walk for Memories. Opportunities include promotion and publicity, volunteer coordination, securing sponsorship, recruiting team and individual walkers. Committees are supported by Alzheimer Society of B.C. Orientation and training are provided.

Mentor: Mentor volunteers are needed to provide support and guidance to a young entrepreneur assigned by Canadian Youth Business Foundation, to successfully establish and sustain his/her new business start-up.

Patrol Volunteers: The Chinese Community Policing Centre seeks volunteers to observe and report suspicious activities to the police while performing foot and bike patrol in Chinatown. Volunteers will also encourage active participation of local business owners in the prevention of crime, and educate shoppers, merchants and tourists on crime prevention matters.

Activity Volunteer: Positive, outgoing volunteers capable of working a few hours a week at flexible times are needed to help with bus outings and special events organized by Churchill House Retirement Community in Upper Lonsdale. Both independent and teamwork is required.
