Visitor: Volunteers are needed at a seniors' care facility to assist residents with morning exercises and encourage them to participate in other programs.

Kitchen: Volunteers are needed to assist a chef with food preparation, packing and labeling Eat Good Do Good Cuisine meals, receiving, organizing and storing perishable foods, delivering meals, assisting with catering, and washing and sanitizing dishes. Volunteers must have a provincial Food Safe certificate.

Aquarium: Vancouver Aquarium will be recruiting volunteers to help with programming in its galleries and with our camps. There are a variety of positions to be filled involving interpretive and educational activities, sleepovers, birthday parties, festivals and outreach. Volunteers are recruited three times a year.

Senior peer support: North Shore Neighbourhood House is looking for caring volunteers to provide an emotional support for seniors, and guide them through changes and challenges. Possible previous experience in people-related services.

Day camp: Enthusiastic and creative volunteers with a desire to gain valuable experience in a dynamic environment working with children are needed this summer. Volunteers will help to organize, plan and provide fun and quality children's programs such as theme days, canoeing, horseback riding, swimming as well as many arts and crafts.

SETTING IT STRAIGHT

An incorrect phone number on page 19 of the Sunday, April 15 paper accompanied a photo of chefs Lizz Lindsay and Bette Geddes preparing a meal at North Lonsdale United Church. The church hosts an affordable dinner program on Tuesdays. Diners must pre-book their $4 meal by noon on Monday by calling 604-985-4911. Volunteer helpers are still needed.
