English Teacher: An English teacher is needed, preferably on Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m. at Woodcroft Estates. Classes will start in January and continue until May 2013.

Computer Trainers: Volunteer is needed as soon as possible to teach basic computer and Internet skills to women at the North Shore Women's Centre. Work one on one with women, one hour per week. Farsi speaking is an asset.

Activity Assistant: Norvan Boys and Girls Club seeks volunteers to assist staff with running a variety of programs for ages six to 12: cooking, crafts, sports, out-trips in a day program setting.

Youth Leadership Programs: The St. John Ambulance Youth Program gives young people between the ages of six and 17 the opportunity to contribute to their community by learning new skills and helping others. The program promotes social, educational and personal development through community service and leisure activities and training in first aid, health care and safety skills.

Friendly Walker: This volunteer position will assist frail seniors to go out on local walks for approximately 30 minutes. Some residents, although very independent, feel more confident walking to do errands with a support person. The volunteer should arrive 15 minutes early to help gather any supplies and then escort the senior to do their errands.
