Arts festival volunteers: Harmony Arts Festival organizers are looking for volunteers for various tasks that include monitoring hands-on activities for children, ushering, traffic control, information and public relations.

One-on-one visitor: A volunteer is needed to visit with a senior in an intermediate care facility, to go for a walk, go shopping or simply read to the senior for an hour. Volunteer will be matched with one specific person to allow for building a worthwhile relationship.

Usher: A volunteer is needed to greet patrons coming into the theatre, provide information on location of box office, theatres and concession areas, take tickets and hand out programs. Must be able to provide clear directions and remain calm under pressure, especially during an emergency evacuation situation.

Seniors Assistance: Volunteers are needed to assist with a Balance and Falls Prevention program running at various locations across the North Shore. This program provides practical assistance to seniors. Time commitment is for two one-hour classes per week. Sessions run for approximately nine weeks.

Kitchen help: North Shore Meals on Wheels Society is looking for volunteers to assemble meals at one or two churches and also help with delivery.

Gospel Choir at Mount Seymour United: Feel the passion and power of gospel music. All voices are welcome and music reading is not required. The choir sings at worship on the Sunday following the practice. Practices are usually the fourth Thursday of the month at 7: 30 p.m. Check the website for dates. Canadian Federation of University Women - West Vancouver Branch: The CFUW is an organization committed to promoting education, cultural and social issues of women, as well as providing fellowship and professional contacts. Espiritu Vocal Ensemble, a high profile community choir that performs a wide variety of music, is looking for motivated singers.
