North Van woman, 70, charged after in-flight altercation

A 70-year-old woman from North Vancouver has been charged with disrupting the activities of an international flight crew after she allegedly grabbed a flight attendant part way into the journey.

A 70-year-old woman from North Vancouver has been charged with disrupting the activities of an international flight crew after she allegedly grabbed a flight attendant part way into the journey.

The woman was on an Air Canada flight from England to Vancouver on Jan. 4 of this year when she allegedly became aggressive with a flight attendant.

The flight attendant wasn't serious injured and the flight landed at Vancouver International Airport without any further incident.

Following an RCMP investigation, Moira Evelyn Gentry of North Vancouver has been charged with endangering or interfering with a flight crew under the Aeronautics Act.

She is scheduled to appear in Richmond provincial court next month.
