North Vancouver RCMP are hoping to reunite a number of recovered items with their rightful owner.
A DSLR camera is one of several items turned into police by a local citizen Jan. 18.
Now, RCMP are hoping that by releasing two pictures from the found camera the rightful owner will be able to identify that it’s theirs and claim the property from police.
“These two pictures are unique enough that someone will hopefully recognize the children and the piñata event captured on camera,” noted police spokesman Cpl. Richard De Jong in a press release. “We would be happy to return the found property to the rightful owner and find out who finally succeeded in breaking the piñata!”
Police surmise that the items were stolen from a local residence and were then hidden by the culprits with the intention of retrieving them later on, the release noted.
If you recognize the youngsters in the photographs, call the North Vancouver RCMP non-emergency line at 604-985-1311 and reference police file #2018-1412.
