Nominate a local youth

THE District of North Vancouver is once again celebrating outstanding local youth. Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Civic Youth Awards, which recognize those aged 10 to 24 for noteworthy achievements and contributions to the community.

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2013 Civic Youth Awards, which recognize those aged 10 to 24 for noteworthy achievements and contributions to the community.

Awards will be handed out in four categories. The Youth Recognition Award recognizes youth who have recorded noteworthy achievements in some endeavour.

The Youth Community Enhancement Award recognizes youth who have made positive contributions to the community on a voluntary basis.

The Outstanding Youth Friendly Business/ Supporter of Youth Award recognizes a business and/or individual that has done an exceptional job of providing opportunities to youth.

The Outstanding Youth Team Award recognizes a group of youth whose community (or school) service has resulting in enhanced programs and/or services for their school or community.

Nomination forms can be picked up at North Vancouver District Hall, or downloaded from dnv.org. Visit the district website for more details about the award categories, or for nomination criteria.

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, March 15.
