POLICE are asking the public for help in finding a 35-year-old West Vancouver man whose car was found this weekend in the parking lot for Shannon Falls Provincial Park south of Squamish.
David Leggett had been reported missing earlier by his family out of province, after they had been unable to contact him. Co-workers also became concerned after Leggett didn't show up to his job in North Vancouver. Leggett is believed to be familiar with trails in the area where his car was found, said Const. Tammy Khorram of West Vancouver Police Department.
Squamish RCMP and search and rescue teams are continuing to search the area. Meanwhile, police are asking anyone who may have seen Leggett in the area to call them, as it may prove crucial to the search.
Leggett is described as Caucasian, 5'8" with blond, balding hair. He may have been wearing glasses. Khorram said police don't know when Leggett was last seen or how long his vehicle had been in the parking lot.
