Lions Gate crash investigation stalled

WEST Vancouver police are hoping the public can help fill the gaps in their investigation into the Nov. 28 deadly crash that shut down the Lions Gate Bridge for several hours.

WEST Vancouver police are hoping the public can help fill the gaps in their investigation into the Nov. 28 deadly crash that shut down the Lions Gate Bridge for several hours.

Police have issued a release calling for anyone who saw the crash to come forward.

Specifically, investigators are looking for the driver of a white 6 Series BMW, that was heading northbound around 11: 35 p.m. who can likely provide a crucial witness statement.

The vehicle in the fatal collision was heading north in the middle lane when it lost control, veered into the southbound lane and crashed headfirst into a bus. The driver and passenger were pronounced dead at Lions Gate Hospital a short time later. Paramedics took the bus driver and three passengers to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
