On Wednesday, the provincial government announced its plans to increase the speed limit on rural highways, including portions of the Sea to Sky Highway. About 1,300 kilometres of provincial highway will see an adjustment. Though the speeds on most will only be bumped by 10 kilometres, the change raises significant questions about safety and if increasing the limit is necessary.
