Hours: Monday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Aunt Leah's Place is a transitional house for homeless moms and babies.

Christmas Caring Tree Guests at Park Royal can purchase a paper ornament for $5 or $10 and write a wish on it and hang it on the tree at Park Royal South. Proceeds will go to the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and everyone who purchases an ornament will be entered to win one of four $125 gift cards. Holiday Hi-Light Festival Park & Tilford will have a display of more than 50,000 lights at the community gardens until Dec. 31 at 333 Brooksbank Ave., North Vancouver. Family Friday Nights will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. and will include live entertainment, cookie decorating, face painting and balloon twisting. Santa will be on site Friday and Saturdays from 6 to 9 p.m. until Christmas.

Canyon Lights View hundreds of thousands of lights throughout the park, and across the bridge and Cliffwalk at Capilano Suspension Bridge, 3735 Capilano Rd., North Vancouver until Jan. 4, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. (except Christmas day) with holiday activities beginning at 4 p.m. This year the park will feature a 152-foot Christmas tree, as well gingerbread cookie decorating, sing-a-long carols and more.
