BROOKE Hilliard, a stylist at Supernova the Salon, works on Yavanna Arnold in preparation for a cut-a-thon Thursday, Sept. 13, 4-8 p.m. Proceeds will go to Friends for Life Society, which helps people with serious illnessess cope with their conditions. The cut-a-thon is in support of the local salon industry's Hair 2 Help initiative that aims to raise $25,000 through salon events and a hair show Sept. 16 at Ginger 62.
