AN event that promises to be a fusion of performance arts is taking place at the Kay Meek Centre Saturday in support of schools in a South African township.
Woza Afrika will feature music from Pro Arte, the Mulgrave School Junior Choir, the Argyle Senior Secondary Concert Choir and A Capella Chorus. The event takes place this Saturday, Oct. 15, starting at 7: 30 p.m.
The night will also premiere the Afro-fusion dance-opera Muti Usina Zita, performed by the Pro Arte Dancers.
The theme for the night is Youth 4 Youth and proceeds will be going towards Education Without Border projects to help a middle school and secondary school in Gulgulethu, which is located outside of Cape Town.
