Chocolate Week: A celebration of the art of chocolate will take place until Oct. 28 at Thierry Chocolaterie Patisserie Café, 1059 Alberni St., Vancouver. Chef Thierry will present a menu of events from new product launches to exclusive menu additions and chocolate sampling sessions. Celebrity Chef Cooking Classes: The Arts Club Theatre Company will host a lineup of cooking classes until Nov. 7. Hands-on demonstrations will be held in private homes throughout Vancouver and features four-course meals from the fall harvest paired with fine wines. Sit, Stay, Sip: A wine tasting and auction to benefit the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society Wednesday, Nov. 7, 6: 30 p.m. at the Stanley Park Pavilion, Vancouver. Tickets are $95 and available at marquis-wines.com. A $20 voucher will accompany each ticket which can be put toward silent and live auction items. Net proceeds will be donated to PADS to help give deserving people a companion and more independence.

Arts Umbrella Fundraiser: Arts Umbrella will welcome winemakers from Sonoma County wineries for two unique dinner experiences Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 6: 30 to 10 p.m. There will be a pre-dinner reception with the winemakers at George Ultra Lounge, 1137 Hamilton St., Vancouver. Guests will then choose between a multicourse dinner in either a garden courtyard setting or the dining room, both at Brix Restaurant and Wine Bar, 1138 Homer St., Vancouver. A Taste of Sonoma County: A fun tasting event Wednesday, Nov. 14, 6: 30-9 p.m. in the ballroom of the Sutton Place Hotel, 845 Burrard St., Vancouver. Guests will meet over 25 vintners, find their new favourite wine and bid on wine auction packages all while supporting Arts Umbrella. Adventures in Cooking: Ambrosia Adventures will host cooking classes from 6: 45 to 9: 30 p.m. at Y Franks store, 503 15th St., West Vancouver.
