Savour Saturdays: Lonsdale Quay Market will hold a food and beverage festival from Oct. 6 to 27 at 123 Carrie Cates Court, North Vancouver. Discover the taste of the market with cooking demonstrations, taste tours, contests, kids activities and more. Party Like a Lobster: Whole 1½ pound Nova Scotia Lobster will be served with baked bread, tail-on prawns, grilled corn on the cob, fingerling potatoes, warm chardonnay infused drawn butter and a cold pint of Alexander Keith IPA from Oct. 11 to 13 at all Earls locations. Toast to the Coast: An elegant celebration of conservation Friday, Oct. 12, 7: 3011 p.m. Join over 550 foodies and wine lovers in support of the Vancouver Aquarium's conservation, education and research efforts. There will be canapés from leading Ocean Wise restaurants, local B.C. wines, live music, silent auction and fashion showcase. Wine'd Up: Whistler Search and Rescue Society (WSAR) will recognize 40 years of commitment to searching and saving lives at their 13th annual dinner and auction Saturday, Oct. 13, 6 p.m. at Dusty's Bar & Grill in Whistler. Guests at the event will enjoy an evening of food and wine while supporting the critically important work of the volunteers. There will also be live and silent auctions.
