BC Ferries is warning its Langdale-to-Horseshoe Bay customers of a major construction project, expected to cause schedule changes in the new year.
Starting in mid-January, crews will close Berth 1 at the Langdale terminal for marine structure upgrades and replacement. Because Berth 2 only allows for one level of loading and unloading, BC Ferries will bring another vessel to essentially double the number of daily crossings.
Reservations will still be possible, although fewer spots will be available.
The change will also affect water taxi service, which will temporarily be run out of Gibsons Harbour Marina.
The project is scheduled to last until mid-April.
