Food drive: Bring a non-perishable food item to Unity Clothing this Saturday, Dec. 1 and receive a 15 per cent discount on clothing purchases as well as entry in a draw for a $50 gift certificate. Food items will be donated to the Harvest Project. Unity is at 108 Victory Ship Way in North Vancouver. Drop by in the afternoon and enjoy the Lower Lonsdale Business Association's annual Christmas Festival, with family activities 4: 30-7: 30 p.m. this Saturday at the Pier.
Toy drive: Get Dressed women's fashion boutique (Westview Shopping Centre and Parkgate Village) and Techniks Hair Studio (225 Seymour River Place, North Vancouver) are collecting toys for Family Services of the North Shore for distribution to the Christmas Bureau. In return for your donation of a new unwrapped toy, shoppers will receive a $10 gift card for purchases at Get Dressed. One gift card per customer.
