Wedding Show: The 16th semi-annual Vancouver Wedding & Honeymoon Show will return to the Vancouver Convention Centre East this Sunday, Sept. 30. The event will include a show of bridal fashions and a dress sale as well as displays by a variety of weddingrelated businesses. Brides receive a complimentary ticket by registering at vancouverweddingshow.ca/ fall.

Fashion Show: Caliente Fashions will host its eighth annual Fabulous Fall Fashion Show on Thursday, Oct. 4 at the boutique, 1381 Marine Dr., West Vancouver. There will be a champagne reception and shopping with discounts from 4 to 7 p.m. Fashion show starts at 7 p.m. Thirty per cent of the evening's proceeds will be donated to West Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society. Thrifty chic: The Thrift Shop at Mount Seymour United Church (1200 Parkgate Ave., just off Mount Seymour Parkway) is open Thursdays, 2-8 p.m.

Make way for fall fashions by clearing out unwanted clothing and accessories and donating them to the Canadian Diabetes Association's Clothesline program. Clothesline accepts gently used clothing, all clothbased items, shoes, boots, books, toys and more. Visit www.diabetes.ca for dropoff locations.

North Shore Needle Arts Guild meets the second Thursday of the month and offers instruction in embroidery and beading at St. Martin's Anglican Church hall in North Vancouver. Info: 604-922-4032.
