To celebrate this year's Word on the Street Sept. 23-25 we are giving away two nonfiction works by authors connected with the West Coast. Investigative journalist Andrew Nikiforuk explores the Pine Beetle epidemic ravaging B.C.'s forests and the lessons it holds in his latest work Empire of the Beetle. In 17 seasons Charlotte Gill figures she planted more than a million trees and tells us about it in her new book about tree-planting culture Eating Dirt.
