West Vancouver police are investigating after a driver struck a pedestrian, Dec. 10, 2021.

The West Vancouver Police Department is investigating after a driver struck a senior in a Dundarave crosswalk, Friday (Dec. 10).

The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and Marine Drive.

The driver, a woman in her 50s, was turning west onto Marine Drive when her car struck the pedestrian, who was crossing in the crosswalk.

The victim, a woman in her 80s, was taken to hospital with neck and back pain, according to WVPD Sgt. John McCormack.

As of Friday afternoon, the file was still under investigation and the driver had not yet been ticketed, according to police.
