Cyclist injured in West Vancouver hit-and-run

WEST Vancouver police are looking for witnesses and a suspect after a cyclist was left injured in a hit-and-run in the lower British Properties area Thursday afternoon.

WEST Vancouver police are looking for witnesses and a suspect after a cyclist was left injured in a hit-and-run in the lower British Properties area Thursday afternoon.

A 53-year-old Vancouver man was riding south on the 600-block of Stevens Drive just after 2:20 p.m. when a passing car struck him, knocking him down and causing lacerations to his head.

The driver continued on without stopping and the injured man couldnt provide a description of the vehicle.

The cyclist has since been diagnosed with concussion symptoms, police say.

Police need to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it, a WVPD press release states.
