If your commute is taking you over the Lions Gate Bridge Friday morning, you may want to go early or tell your boss you’re working from home. Climate activists are planning to block traffic on the bridge during rush hour.
Extinction Rebellion Vancouver is staging the protest in solidarity with Wet'suwet'en land defenders resisting the Coastal Gas Link pipeline and the RCMP, according to their social media posts on Thursday.
The group is says it will be the “first of many non-violent civil resistance actions over the coming weeks.”
