City flip-flops on beach volleyball

City of North Vancouver council has approved two projects it once voted to fund and then later reneged on: $140,000 for temporary beach volleyball courts on Lot 5 on the waterfront, and $50,000 for a feasibility study to move the North Vancouver Museum and Archives to a new home on the waterfront. Both are now back in the council's financial plan following Monday's council meeting.

Noting a successful run in 2012, council also set aside $85,000 to renew Concerts in the Square for 2013.

Councillors agreed that taxpayers should be asked to chip in less each year as corporate sponsors come on board.
