A three-vehicle crash at Lougheed Highway by the Production Way SkyTrain station sent one man to hospital and snarled traffic on Lougheed Highway Tuesday morning.

A collision involving a minibus, an Amazon delivery van and another vehicle has sent one man to hospital and snarled traffic on Lougheed Highway.

The collision happened shortly before 10 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Brighton Avenue-Production Way, right beside the Production-University SkyTrain station.

An Amazon van with a smashed front end came to rest in a westbound lane, while a minibus ended up in the far eastbound lane after colliding with a traffic light pole.

Another damaged vehicle, a car, also came to rest beside the minibus.

A witness told the NOW the lone occupant of the bus had been the driver, who was taken to hospital.

The occupants of the Amazon van appeared to be uninjured, according to the witness.

Burnaby RCMP were on scene and are investigating the crash.

Eastbound traffic has lined up at Brighton Avenue-Production Way as emergency crews work to clear the incident.
