THE Vancouver Natural History Society was formed in 1918, and over the years has stayed true to its mandate to "foster public interest and education in the appreciation and study of nature."
Over the years the members have worked with local governments to help establish conservation areas around the Lower Mainland, including the Maplewood Flats, which became the home of the Wild Bird Trust of B.C. in 1993.
This book brings up to date the earlier publication that concluded with 1993 and presents what the society has been working on since then.
