West Vancouver police have called in regional homicide detectives after the discovery of a body on West Vancouvers Hollyburn Ridge Tuesday evening.
A trail maintenance volunteer found the remains just before 5:30 p.m. in the forest beyond the third switchback of Cypress Bowl Road.
Police have deemed the unidentified victims death suspicious.
The body was removed overnight for autopsy, but the road beyond the access to Hollyburn Cabins remains closed while officers and forensics teams continue to investigate the scene.
The cause of death has not yet been determined.
